Realme C65 is confirmed to be unveiled soon. The new phone will likely succeed the Realme C55 , which was introduced in March 2023, and launch in select Asian markets. A senior company official has revealed the design of the upcoming handset and confirmed some of its features. The handset had previously been spotted on several certification sites which have suggested some specifications. The India launch of the handset, however, has not yet been confirmed.  Realme Vietnam, in an Instagram post, confirmed that the Realme C65 will launch on April 4. The poster shared in the post showed the upcoming model in two colour options - Galaxy Black and Violet (translated from Vietnamese). The models appear with a shimmering glossy finish that is claimed to offer "a sparkling autumnal look." iPhone 16 Cases Surface Online, Hinting at Pill-Shaped Rear Camera Island

Image
iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are likely to make their debut in the second half of 2024 with a few design tweaks, according to previous reports. A leaked image that shows two cases for the iPhone 16 models gives us a good idea of what to expect from the successors to the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus. This year, the standard models are said to sport a vertical pill-shaped layout, replacing the square camera island with rounded edges found on the iPhone 15 series and other models that preceded it. An image of two smartphone cases was leaked by tipster Sonny Dickson via X (formerly Twitter). The case on the left side appears to be slightly larger, which means it could be for the iPhone 16 Plus, while the cover for the standard model could be on the right side. Both cases are shown with a vertical rear camera bump, along with a plastic cutout for the LED flash located right next to the camera island. Poco C61 First Impressions

Image
Poco has been delivering decent products for a while, mainly catering to diverse price categories. The X-series offers flagship-grade features, while the M-series delivers a punch in the mainstream category. However, it is the C-series that provides the real value-for-money proposition. The latest addition to this series is the Poco C61, which brings a refreshed design language along with a good combination of software and hardware, all at a starting price of Rs 6,999. But how does it fair against the competition? We have some time with the device, so here's our first look.  Starting with the design, Poco has brought a fresh perspective to this segment, where most phones offer a standard design language. The phone has three colours: Diamond Dust Black, Ethereal Blue, and Mystical Green. We got the Mystical Green colour option, and it sure stands out from the crowd with the new Radiant Ring design. The back panel is made of glass with a big circular ring housing the camera module.

OpenAI did not immediately respond to Reuters' requests for comment. Rapid adoption of generative artificial intelligence technology has led to sky-rocketing demand for AI data centers capable of handling more advanced tasks than traditional data centers. The Information reported that Microsoft would likely finance the project, which is expected to be 100 times more costly than some of the biggest existing data centers, citing people involved in private conversations about the proposal. The proposed U.S.-based supercomputer would be the biggest in a series the companies are looking to build over the next six years, the report added. The Information attributed the tentative cost of $100 billion to a person who spoke to Altman about

Sam Bankman-Fried was sentenced to 25 years in prison by a judge on Thursday for stealing $8 billion (roughly Rs. 66,678 crore) from customers of the now-bankrupt FTX cryptocurrency exchange he founded, the last step in the former billionaire wunderkind's dramatic downfall. US District Judge Lewis Kaplan handed down the sentence at a Manhattan court hearing after rejecting Bankman-Fried's claim that FTX customers did not actually lose money and finding that he lied during his trial testimony. A jury found Bankman-Fried, 32, guilty on November 2 on seven fraud and conspiracy counts stemming from FTX's 2022 collapse in what prosecutors have called one of the biggest financial frauds in US history. Kaplan said Bankman-Fried has shown no remorse. "He knew it was wrong," Kaplan said. "He knew it was criminal. He regrets that he made a very bad bet about the likelihood of getting caught. But he is not going to admit a thing, as is his right." Bankman-Fri

Samsung Finally Adopts Android’s Seamless Updates Starting With Galaxy A55 5G: Here’s How It Works

Image
Nearly eight years after the feature was announced, Samsung has finally adopted Seamless Updates, a feature announced by Google with Android Nougat in 2016. The feature makes the update process seem a lot quicker and without requiring a user to blankly stare at an update screen for several minutes while the phone gets updated. Sadly, this isn't a feature that has been made available for all Samsung devices but from what we have learnt, is just limited to the newly launched Galaxy A55 5G smartphone. Apart from adopting a slightly different design compared to other Samsung smartphones and using Exynos processors, Samsung's Galaxy A55 5G is also the first Samsung smartphone to offer Seamless Updates. First reported by The Mobile Indian , the report claims that feature was visible after the installation of the March 2024 security patch on their Galaxy A55 5G unit. The software updates thereon showed two stages of installation with the first stage being “Downloading and Installi

OpenAI Said to Court Hollywood in Meetings With Film Studios, Directors

Image
OpenAI wants to break into the movie business. The artificial intelligence startup has scheduled meetings in Los Angeles next week with Hollywood studios, media executives and talent agencies to form partnerships in the entertainment industry and encourage filmmakers to integrate its new AI video generator into their work, according to people familiar with the matter. The upcoming meetings are just the latest round of outreach from OpenAI in recent weeks, said the people, who asked not to be named as the information is private. In late February, OpenAI scheduled introductory conversations in Hollywood led by Chief Operating Officer Brad Lightcap. Along with a couple of his colleagues, Lightcap demonstrated the capabilities of Sora , an unreleased new service that can generate realistic-looking videos up to about a minute in length based on text prompts from users. Days later, OpenAI Chief Executive Officer Sam Altman attended parties in Los Angeles during the weekend of the Academy

According to details leaked by a Chinese tipster, the smartphone maker could be equipped with a powerful processor — the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip from Qualcomm that also powers the Vivo sub-brand's flagship iQoo 12. While the company is yet to announce plans for a new Neo-series handset, other specifications of the purported smartphone, including its display, camera, and fast charging have also been leaked. Tipster Digital Chat Station (translated from Chinese) leaked details of an unnamed smartphone equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip that will sport a 1.5K LPTO AMOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate. The rear panel of the handset is said to be made of glass or leather and it won't feature a plastic frame.  The leaker also claims that the handset will be equipped with a 50-megapixel primary camera and an unspecified secondary camera. Apple Said to Cut Jobs After Scrapping In-House Effort to Make Apple Watch Displays

Image
Apple Inc. is winding down a long-running project to design and develop its own smartwatch displays, putting an end to another pricey research and development initiative. In recent weeks, the company has ceased an in-house effort to create screens with microLED technology, according to people with knowledge of the matter. The displays, which featured brighter and more vibrant visuals, would have been added to a future version of the Apple Watch — before potentially going into other products. But the cost and complexity of the effort ultimately proved too great. So Apple is now reorganizing the teams that handle display engineering and eliminating several dozen roles in the US and Asia, said the people, who asked not to be identified because the matter is private. The move to shutter the project came around the same time as the company's decision to cancel work on a self-driving car. In both cases, Apple is giving at least some affected employees the opportunity to find other
