Apple finally launched its first foldable iPhone this year. The iPhone Duo is also the most expensive iPhone to date, but it appears to be facing some early teething problems. In recent days, the handset has had to contend with the challenges of adapting iOS to a book-style display, with some early adopters raising concerns about app optimisation. However, a more serious hardware issue appears to be emerging. Users have allegedly reported cracks on the inner display near the hinge, and Apple has now acknowledged the issue. from Gadgets 360 https://ift.tt/JTn7IhH

iPhone Duo owners are complaining that the foldable display of their handsets has started developing cracks. Reddit user u/leftyhyzer16 on the subreddit r/iPhoneDuo posted a picture of his new iPhone Duo, which had developed a crack on its foldable screen right in the middle of the display, where the crease is. Along with the crack, the display of his unit has seemingly also developed a green line of pixels running vertically and another band running horizontally. iFixit, in his iPhone Duo teardown video and blog post, called Apple’s foldable the most repairable foldable, while highlighting that it has a “huge screen problem”. iFixit writes that the issue could possibly be because the support bar in the middle failed to retract properly in specific cases, which put pressure on the flexible screen of the iPhone Duo, causing the cracks. The second theory says that the curved rails of the hinge could be causing the screen to break. from Gadgets 360 https://ift.tt/f8KQJ7U

While details officially remain under wraps, a seasoned journalist claims that the Cupertino-based tech giant could introduce new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with OLED displays and touchscreen support this week. Apple is also expected to make touch interaction an additional way to navigate macOS, though these upgrades could push the prices of the purported devices higher. from Gadgets 360 https://ift.tt/LMXnRFN
