Twitter says a spear phishing attack led to the huge bitcoin scam

Twitter provided an update about the unprecedented July 15th attack that allowed hackers to tweet from some of the most high-profile accounts on the service, in a blog post and a series of tweets published Thursday evening. Twitter now says that a few employees were targeted in a phone spear phishing attack. While Twitter doesn’t quite say, that presumably means hackers called up Twitter employees while posing as colleagues or members of Twitter’s own security team, and got them to reveal the credentials they use to access internal systems.

Vivo has teased the launch of the Vivo V20 series in India. On Twitter, Vivo India posted a short teaser video teasing the new series of smartphone. The video teaser suggests that the V20 series smartphones will be "ultra-slim". The caption of the teaser reads: “Tick, tock. Tick, tock. Time’s up for bulky smartphones! Are you ready for an ultra-slim delight?” Additionally, Vivo also changed the cover photo on its Twitter profile page, which suggests that the smartphone will come in three colour variants – black, white, and blue-purple gradient. Iceland lost 750 sq km of glaciers over the last two decades due to global warming

Iceland's glaciers have lost around 750 square kilometres (290 square miles), or seven percent of their surface, since the turn of the millennium due to global warming, a study published on Monday showed. The glaciers, which cover more than 10 percent of the country's land mass, shrank in 2019 to 10,400 square kilometres, the study in the Icelandic scientific journal Jokull said. Since 1890, the land covered by glaciers has decreased by almost 2,200 square kilometres or 18 percent. But almost a third of this decline has occurred since 2000, according to the recent calculations by glaciologists, geologists and geophysicists. Experts have previously warned that Iceland's glaciers are at risk of disappearing entirely by 2200. The ice's retreat over the past two decades is almost equivalent to the total surface area of Hofsjokull, Iceland's third-biggest ice cap at 810 square kilometres.
