Google has rolled out a “Mark as Read” feature for Gmail notifications on Android, letting users quickly mark emails as read without opening them. While it may have a limited impact for those who manage their inbox meticulously, it helps others track read and unread messages efficiently. Users can still open the full email if more details are needed. Additionally, Gmail on iOS now shows sender avatars, making it easier to identify important senders and prioritise messages at a glance.
