Samsung Confirms Deadline for Samsung Messages App: Here’s What You Will Use Instead

Samsung has announced that Samsung Messages will be discontinued in July 2026. The company shared the update on its US support page. Users will be notified about the shutdown date on the Samsung Messages app on their devices. Samsung is fully transitioning to Google Messages as its default texting platform. The Samsung Messages is still available on the Galaxy Store. Older Samsung Galaxy Watch models with Tizen OS cannot support Google Messages.
