Google Makes It Easier to Switch Password Managers on Android: How to Transfer Passwords and Passkeys

Google has rolled out a new Android transfer system that lets compatible password managers exchange passwords and passkeys directly. The feature removes the need to export passwords as unencrypted text files and provides a way to move passkeys when changing services. Android detects supported password managers on the device and guides users through selecting, reviewing and authorising the transfer. Google Password Manager, 1Password, Bitwarden Password Manager and Dashlane currently support the feature, while additional providers are expected to join later.
